Gudula Naiga Basaza
Gudula Naiga Basaza, PhD is the Executive Director of Gudie Leisure Farm, an innovative farm serving 20,280 smallholder farmers to transform them into commercial farmers with a target of reaching 200,000 by 2026. Gudula is the Chairperson dfcu bank women Advisory Council (WBAC), the president Eastern African Women Entrepreneurs Exchange Network, Chairperson Uganda Women entrepreneurs Association limited and Vice Chairperson Private Sector Foundation Uganda). Further, Gudula is the chair Board of Trustee of Kampala City Traders Association (KACITA) provident fund.
She recently worked as the Vice Chancellor and Development Officer of St. Joseph International University and St. Augustine International University, Uganda and previously was at Uganda Martyrs University Nkozi as Director for the Center for Distance learning studies, and Lecturer, Educational Technology. She has 19 years of teaching experience. Gudula was a Fulbright Scholar at The George Washington University, USA (2009-2010). She holds a PhD from the University of Ghent, Belgium (2006), a Master’s Degree in Science Education from the University of York, UK (1998), and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (1993) as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Botany and Zoology (1992) from Makerere University.
